Jarvis Bay Beach

Most people come here to launch a small boat and do some fishing, but it is also a good spot for a picnic and a little exploring.

Round-trip: 2 km

There are some other really good trails close by, but I thought I’d post this easy one first for those who have never been to Jarvis Bay or haven’t even heard of the area.

To get to Jarvis Bay drive down highway 61 south and turn left onto Jarvis Bay Road East. Follow Jarvis Bay Road East for 7.5 km then stay left at the Y –if you get to a gravel pit you have missed the turn. The road to the left at the Y is rough and you will need a good 4×4 vehicle to drive it.

Follow this rough road for 500m until you reach the shore and park out of the way in the parking spot found just before the beach. Facing the lake head to the right along the beach and follow the shoreline as far as you can depending on water levels.
