I don’t think I am alone when I say I love a good beachwalk. This is an interesting spot to watch the waves, and possibly even some surfing, during a big storm. There is fishing at the river mouth, a geocache, some abandoned structures to try to figure out, and lots of beach to walk.
From Sault Ste. Marie drive north on highway 17 for 100km. Look for a small road on the left side of the road just after the Alona Bay lookout. Drive or walk 100m to the shore.

Is there anywhere to camp, pitch a tent there?
